Requirements
Understanding of mechanical & electrical equipment, machines, tools, their designs, uses, repairs, and maintenance
Knowledge of overall operational processes and requirements, including criticality of equipment in WWTP, ETP, UF, RO, and ZLD systems
Proficiency with computers and systems (e.g., MS Office, MS Project, SAP) for data processing, documentation, and functions
Ability to maintain and update technical knowledge and industry trends
Understanding of water quality processes and techniques
Skills in budgeting, budget preparation, administration, and documentation
Experience in personnel management, including hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures
Responsibilities
Manage overall O&M of WWTP, ETP, UF, RO, and ZLD systems to ensure maximum equipment and instrument availability
Accountable for safety performance of the mechanical maintenance team – goal zero
Plan, develop, and implement maintenance systems (condition-based, time-based, breakdown maintenance, spares management) for mechanical & electrical maintenance within budgets and timescales
Optimize processes and improve plant operations
Prepare SOPs, process checklists, conduct training for site team, manage customers and people
Set and manage O&M budget
Establish and review KPIs as per contractual terms with client
Ensure O&M personnel have necessary skills and knowledge for safe, efficient, effective performance
Prepare monthly reports to Sr. Eng. Manager including key contract KPIs
Liaise and communicate with peers in Steel and maintenance systems group
Establish systems for reporting and investigating mechanical/electrical/operation incidents, near misses (plant, equipment, safety, environmental) with root cause analysis and corrective actions
Manage direct reports: recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, delegate, monitor, and conduct performance reviews
Provide guidance, direction, set performance standards, and monitor subordinates
Coach, mentor, and develop team members' skills and knowledge
Build and encourage mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
Organize, plan, prioritize work, schedule activities based on priorities, equipment, skills, and personnel
Obtain information from relevant sources and solve problems by identifying issues, evaluating options, and implementing solutions
