Requirements

Candidates should possess hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro (Yokohama or later), including entitlement configuration, discovery model normalization, software model configuration, lifecycle management, and publisher pack administration. A strong understanding of the relationship between software models, catalog items, and client software is essential. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Procurement, Governance, Security, Vendor Management, IT Renewals, Purchasing Operations, IT Services, and Software Product Stakeholders is also required.

Responsibilities

The ServiceNow Software Asset Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate software asset records, including Software Models, Discovery Models, and Entitlements within ServiceNow SAM Pro. This role ensures effective tracking, management, and optimization of software assets, focusing on license compliance, cost efficiency, and lifecycle governance. Responsibilities include reconciling software deployments with entitlements, analyzing reconciliation reports to address non-compliance, and analyzing software usage to identify opportunities for removal of infrequently used software. The manager will also lead internal and external audits, research vendor licensing models, collaborate on enhancing the Colleague Zone AppStore, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Additionally, they will validate software installation inventory and license compliance reports and provide requirements for new SAM functionality.
