  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in Service Engineering, with hands-on experience in laboratory equipment repair
  • Understanding of diagnostic laboratory workflows, instrumentation and software
  • Strong knowledge of GDP and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills for managing multiple projects
  • Strong mechanical and electrical engineering skills
  • Possesses technical expertise and can talk the lingo with customers
  • Good listening skills and good customer service skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Works independently without much supervision
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material
  • Willingness to work outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times

Responsibilities

  • Handle semi-autonomous role with more complex troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance
  • Solve non-routine problems with some guidance
  • Follow SOPs and perform task-based assignments
  • Draft SOPs and work instructions; contribute to troubleshooting Wiki
  • Troubleshoot issues of medium to high complexity; understand when to reach out for guidance
  • Understand and show progress in implementing the "3 pillars" of troubleshooting laboratory automation
  • Learn to analyze and interpret test data for troubleshooting
  • Document service tickets completely and with appropriate detail, adhering to Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Adhere to lab safety protocols and regulatory requirements
