Requirements

Candidates should have 5-8+ years of experience in SEO, growth marketing, or digital content strategy, preferably within DTC or health tech. Proven success in scaling organic acquisition using both traditional and AI-enhanced workflows is required, along with comfort using AI SEO tools like SurferSEO, Clearscope, Frase, Jasper, or ChatGPT. A strong understanding of technical SEO, including indexation, page speed, schema markup, sitemaps, redirects, and internal linking, is essential. Experience managing freelance writers and editors with clear briefs and style guides, and familiarity with Google's evolving AI-in-search experiences (SGE, AI snippets) are also necessary. Experience in regulated industries like healthcare or financial services is a plus.

Responsibilities

The SEO Lead will own the SEO roadmap, leading strategy and execution across technical, content, and programmatic SEO to increase traffic, rankings, and conversions. They will leverage generative AI tools to scale content production, keyword clustering, SERP analysis, and metadata optimization while maintaining accuracy and brand voice. The role involves experimenting with AI search trends and adapting strategies for emerging formats like Google's SGE. Responsibilities also include collaborating with Product and Engineering to enhance site architecture, indexation, crawl budget efficiency, internal linking, and structured data markup. The SEO Lead will partner with writers, editors, and medical reviewers to publish AI-assisted content and build dashboards in GA4, Looker, and GSC to monitor performance. Cross-functional collaboration with Creative, Medical, Brand, and Product teams to align SEO strategies with business priorities is also a key duty.
