You will design editorial workflows, templates, and tools to ensure Atlan’s best stories are produced efficiently and effectively across various channels.

About Atlan

Join us in shaping a future where data drives extraordinary outcomes.

Why This Role is Important

Our mission at Atlan is to help the humans of data do their life's best work. This mission relies on our ability to tell compelling stories rooted in first-party insights. This role is crucial for structuring these insights, ensuring they are presented with precision and repeatability to drive impact across teams and channels. You will not just write; you will build the systems that enable powerful storytelling.

Responsibilities

Structure Storytelling from First-Party Sources:

  • Create original, long-form editorial content based on inputs such as customer interviews, founder perspectives, research, and transcripts.
  • Develop content formats and modular structures to efficiently transform raw ideas into clear, reusable narratives.
  • Build storytelling templates to facilitate consistent content contribution and reuse across teams.
  • Edit contributions from across teams to maintain editorial clarity, structure, and brand voice.

Operationalize AI-Native Editorial Workflows:

  • Utilize AI tools like TOFU, ChatGPT, and Claude to accelerate first drafts, summarize interviews, and support content repackaging.
  • Develop prompt templates, QA checklists, and internal guidance for responsible and high-quality AI use in editorial work.
  • Collaborate with writers and marketers to integrate AI-enhanced workflows seamlessly and practically.

Own the Editorial System:

  • Manage a unified editorial calendar encompassing product launches, campaigns, customer stories, and internal initiatives.
  • Maintain a versioned content library organized by theme, format, and use case.
  • Design internal tools and collaboration processes to help teams find, reuse, and contribute to core content.

Lead Distribution Strategy and Outreach:

  • Partner with Social, Product Marketing, and Field teams to adapt long-form stories into channel-native formats (e.g., LinkedIn carousels, newsletters).
  • Identify high-leverage content opportunities and support distribution across external blogs, partner placements, and sales enablement.
  • Create playbooks for content reuse to scale strong narratives across functions and channels.

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience in content marketing, editorial operations, journalism, or product storytelling.
  • Proven experience working with founders, customers, or subject matter experts to translate complex topics into clear content.
  • A strong understanding of structure and repeatability in editorial systems, including calendars, templates, and pipelines.
  • Familiarity with AI writing tools (e.g., TOFU, ChatGPT, Claude) and a commitment to their responsible use.
  • A mindset that effectively blends storytelling craft with systems thinking.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about data, business, and the world, with a habit of wide reading, careful writing, and keen observation.
