Requirements

Candidates should have experience as a current Sales leader (VP or higher), ideally with finance organization experience and a proven track record of driving significant renewal uplift. Alternatively, candidates should be procurement experts with over 10 years of experience in a procurement team at a large bank or financial institution, including experience negotiating against credit and risk data vendors. All candidates must possess strong leadership skills, deep experience in complex commercial environments and strategic customer negotiations, and a demonstrated ability to drive accountability, clarity, and structure in ambiguous spaces. They should also have deep industry knowledge of Experian and its peers, understand the credit lifecycle and products/services sold, and possess high executive presence to influence senior stakeholders and engage with C-level customers. The role requires expertise in balancing strategic planning with hands-on deal execution, a deep understanding of enterprise deal constructs, value-based selling, and contract management, as well as experience managing and growing teams with a focus on coaching, performance, and collaboration. Experience operating in a matrixed organization and a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university are also required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Vice President Renewals is responsible for leading Experian North America's Renewals team to achieve successful outcomes on the largest and most strategic renewals. This role is critical to growth and customer retention, requiring cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Legal, Product, and Customer Success to ensure effective renewal execution aligned with client value. Responsibilities include engaging with senior Experian leadership, negotiating directly with senior customer stakeholders, leading complex negotiations, and evolving the approach to renewals at scale. The role involves leading a team to execute and close complex renewals across Experian's largest accounts, driving internal alignment and customer negotiations for key renewal engagements. It also includes collaborating with various departments to design renewal strategies and deal structures, improving and scaling operational frameworks, playbooks, and governance for best-in-class renewal execution, and partnering with Sales leadership to develop renewal standards, deal strategies, and commercial term consistency. Establishing and monitoring team KPIs and performance metrics tied to revenue retention and renewal efficiency is also a key responsibility.
