Requirements

Breadth of UX knowledge
Technical expertise in user research including discovery, synthesis, and documentation
Ability to communicate research and design vision to team members and key stakeholders
Adaptive, empathetic, and collaborative mindset
Passion for working on important problems that have a lasting impact on millions of users
Ability to communicate potential costs and tradeoffs of different processes and research approaches
Familiarity with emerging practices and technologies that support UX
Ability to articulate thought processes through verbal and written explanation, whiteboard, sketching, or quick mock-ups
Experience with design deliverables at various levels of fidelity
Familiarity with design systems and collaboration with design system teams

Responsibilities

Lead user research efforts across various research methodologies
Own the research process, including discovery, synthesis, documentation, and communication
Communicate with team members and key stakeholders about research and design vision
Stay up to date on emerging practices and technologies that support UX
Create design deliverables at various levels of fidelity
Collaborate with product manager and engineers to ensure implementation matches intent
Keep UX work in sync with the product roadmap
Flag delays or issues in research and design
Collaborate with team to integrate AI-powered tools and services into the software design and development lifecycle
Work with team to create and evolve user stories and acceptance criteria
