Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology or related field
Self-starter able to discover high-value opportunities and prioritize ruthlessly
Ability to lead multiple strategic research projects end-to-end, managing ambiguity, complexity, and mixed methods
Strong collaboration skills across product managers, engineers, customers, subject-matter experts, and designers
Experience independently designing experiments and performing research studies throughout the product life cycle
Ability to advocate for user-centric designs considering holistic context (brand, support, onboarding, sales, etc.)
Skill in measuring success and tying it to business-relevant outcomes
Experience advocating for research, guiding stakeholders on best practices, and enabling self-conducted research
Ability to influence strategy, contribute to UX vision, UI standards, and unified design vision
Leadership and mentoring skills, providing constructive feedback and coaching team members
Willingness to give and solicit feedback for personal and team improvement

Responsibilities

Be a self-starter: discover high-value opportunities and prioritize to maximize user and business impact
Lead multiple strategic research projects end-to-end, including managing ambiguity, complexity, and mixed methods; support team members for success
Drive collaboration across teams to maximize impact of insights on product outcomes, balancing business and user needs
Influence and drive key product decisions by designing experiments and performing research studies throughout the product life cycle
Advocate for designs capturing holistic user experience context and touch points; elevate experiences to be intuitive and user-centric
Take responsibility for quality and success of product teams, end-products, end-users, and business goals; measure success tied to outcomes
Advocate for research with stakeholders and product teams; guide on best practices and enable their own research
Influence strategy, contribute to user experience vision and UI standards for the product suite, evolve toward unified design vision
Provide research leadership to product, engineering, and design organizations
Inspire and coach team members with constructive feedback; learn from diverse experiences
