A minimum of 5 years of proven life science capital sales experience is necessary, along with a track record of success in collaborative team settings, independent lead generation, prospecting, and business development. Experience in consultative and strategic selling situations, driving complex sales in multi-layered environments, and winning/growing business within geographical healthcare organizations are essential. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, driven to deliver exceptional results, and can succeed in a fast-paced, adaptable environment.
The Senior Territory Account Manager will be responsible for achieving territory sales objectives and growth targets by developing and implementing territory and account-specific sales plans. This includes executing sales plans to meet quotas, adjusting plans based on changing needs, and accurately forecasting sales projections and managing the sales pipeline. Responsibilities also involve proactively utilizing and maintaining the CRM database, delivering technical/scientific seminars and presentations on Illumina's products and solutions, and consulting with customers on their capabilities. The role requires demonstrating command of scientific knowledge for consultative selling, monitoring market trends to identify new opportunities, and collaborating effectively cross-functionally to meet customer needs. Successfully navigating multi-tiered sales processes for capital equipment, consumables, and services, matching customer business objectives to Illumina capabilities, and prospecting for new leads are key duties. The position also entails actively managing existing accounts, expanding the customer base, developing strong customer connections, and engaging in ongoing learning about new applications and growth opportunities for Illumina's offerings. Handling interpersonal challenges, maintaining focus on the customer, and demonstrating a win-win approach in negotiations are also expected.
