Requirements

Candidates must have a proven track record of delivering financial targets, 3-5+ years of experience selling life science reagents and solutions, and essential experience selling next generation sequencing target enrichment products. Demonstrated technical knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing applications is necessary, and a background in technical sales and support or field applications is preferred. Experience with Salesforce.com is also preferred, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology or a similar field is preferred. Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills are essential, as are scientific problem-solving skills and technical depth in synthetic biology applications. The ability to thrive in a startup/change-oriented environment and demonstrate drive, determination, and self-motivation are key attributes.

Responsibilities

The NGS Sales Specialist is responsible for delivering revenue and driving growth in their territory for Twist Bioscience sequencing products, attaining quarterly and annual revenue targets, and delivering accurate and timely forecasts. They will develop and manage key customer relationships, develop contingency and risk mitigation plans, and execute supply agreements. The role involves working collaboratively with product management, R&D, and operations to minimize time to revenue, maintaining the CRM database, and representing the company at relevant tradeshows. Responsibilities also include maintaining awareness of the competitive landscape, providing customer feedback, and introducing new product ideas to internal partners.
