Requirements

  • Experienced individual contributor working independently under limited supervision on complex projects
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., LabVIEW) is preferred
  • Experience with solid modeling software (e.g., CREO, SolidWorks) is preferred
  • Ability to tackle difficult problems and demonstrate understanding of multiple issues/specialties
  • Ability to facilitate system level workflow testing and train test operators
  • Ability to coordinate and schedule reliability testing, including budgeting/forecasting/procuring supplies

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze system requirements from stakeholders
  • Translate customer needs into technical specifications and requirements documents
  • Design, develop, and integrate Surgical Robotics systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and test laboratories to ensure systems meet customer requirements and medical industry standards
  • Perform reliability testing of assigned systems/subsystems/components, including test capability development, protocol development, test method development, preliminary failure analysis, test execution, data recording/reporting, data analysis/management, and test status reporting/presentation
  • Support planning inputs and participate in engineering reviews
  • Perform data analysis and report transformations of data into reliability information
  • Conduct development and qualification of methods, fixtures, platforms, and software for reliability tests, including internal development and partnering with external vendors
  • Participate in system level workflow testing simulating user experience and support initial fault isolation activities
  • Report issues using established procedures/processes
  • Coach and review the work of junior team members
  • Improve processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of reliability testing
  • Communicate with senior internal customers and external vendors
  • Contribute to the completion of Reliability Engineering objectives through building relationships and consensus
