Description: Barbaricum is a rapidly growing government contractor specializing in providing leading-edge support to federal customers, particularly in Defense and National Security. We leverage over 17 years of experience to support stakeholders across various disciplines including Intelligence, Analytics, Engineering, Mission Support, and Communications. We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to contribute to the DoD Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office’s (CDAO) mission, accelerating the DoD’s adoption of data, analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. This role supports CDAO’s Chief Technology Officer and will play a key role in advancing CDAO’s AI/ML and data-driven initiatives. Barbaricum has been supporting CDAO for over 3 years, including current support to the T&E Directorate and Resource and Management Office.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that consortium members are proposing and working towards a common interoperable technical vision.
  • Provides collaborative technical leadership alongside industry and government partners to establish high-level data mesh design patterns and proofs of concept/prototypes suited to a complex multi-vendor, multi-organization environment.
  • Proactively identifies and develops solutions to identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring compliance with global standards as well as interoperability with DoD systems.
  • Creates and reviews relevant documentation, such as diagrams, detailed assessments, and design documents.
  • Assists in the evaluation of new products and services; makes recommendations for improvements and assists in the development and documentation.
