Requirements
Candidates should possess 6-8+ years of extensive experience in mainframe hardware support and configuration, along with professional experience using technologies such as z/OS, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, JES2, OMVS. Extensive experience within Linux, C, and scripting is required, alongside knowledge of Disk infrastructure and TCP/IP network configurations. SAF/RACF knowledge is essential, and familiarity with the latest IBMz processor generations (z14, z15, z16) is preferred.
Responsibilities
The Senior Mainframe System Programmer will support and maintain the Mainframe, upgrading it to the next generation of IBM Processor, troubleshooting for day-to-day incidents and problems, and providing out-of-hours support for the implementation of hardware changes. They will also be responsible for creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans, ensuring risk management, and demonstrating excellent problem determination skills while working as a team player. Furthermore, they will communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences and build strong networks across business areas.
