Requirements

Candidates should have 9+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, AI development, or software engineering, with a focus on secure, large-scale distributed system design and AI/ML pipeline development. Extensive experience in designing, developing, and operating scalable backend systems using best practices like domain-driven design and microservices is required. Deep expertise in agentic workflows, AI evaluation, prompt management, and secure AI development is essential. Strong knowledge of databases, data storage, and RESTful API design, along with experience in CI/CD pipelines and automated testing, is necessary. Excellent leadership, communication, and Python proficiency are expected. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, and experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer will design and implement AI platforms for scalable and secure access to LLMs, and develop agentic workflows and prompt management solutions. Responsibilities include designing, building, and optimizing model training, fine-tuning, and inference pipelines, and influencing technical strategy for embedding stores and vector databases. The role involves leading initiatives to streamline ML/AI workflows, designing and developing backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI, and taking operational responsibility for team-owned services, including monitoring and troubleshooting. Collaboration with technical and non-technical colleagues, and coaching/mentoring fellow ML engineers are key duties.
