Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and preferably possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. They should have at least five years of accounting experience, ideally within the SaaS, technology, or high-growth environment, and demonstrate proficiency in NetSuite. A strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements is essential, along with experience in month-end close processes, reconciliations, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

The Senior Staff Accountant will own key aspects of the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. They will prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses to maintain financial integrity, and assist with financial statement preparation, audits, and tax filings. The role involves supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, as well as partnering cross-functionally with teams like Finance, FP&A, and Operations to improve financial processes and reporting. Furthermore, they will identify opportunities for process improvements and automation, and assist in the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and software.
