Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting. Strong understanding of accrual accounting is required, alongside proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems. Experience in a SaaS, technology, or startup environment is preferred, as well as strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

The Accountant will manage and oversee financial transactions related to vendor payments, customer invoicing, payroll, and the monthly financial statement close process, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and streamlining accounts payable/receivable processes. They will process vendor invoices, manage vendor payments, reconcile vendor statements, and process employee reimbursements. The role involves generating and issuing customer invoices, monitoring customer payments, preparing aging reports, and investigating billing disputes. Additionally, the Accountant will assist with month-end close procedures, reconciling sub-ledgers, recording journal entries, and supporting financial statement preparation. They will also support financial audits, implement process improvements, ensure compliance with sales tax and 1099 reporting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial processes with company goals.
