Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred
8+ years of experience in procurement, contract management, engineering, or project management, including 3–5 years in purchasing/sourcing
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships
Fluent in English (C1 level minimum); German preferred
Proficiency in procurement systems and digital sourcing tools
Familiarity with ISO 13485 and regulatory requirements is an advantage
Experience in the medical device industry is a plus
Thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy building strong partnerships

Responsibilities

Lead and execute purchasing and supply management activities for all indirect categories at the Zurich Manufacturing Site
Develop and implement cost-effective and compliant procurement strategies that create value and support business goals
Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and supplier consolidation
Drive supplier relationships through selection, negotiation, and contract execution for high-value projects
Partner with global colleagues to share best practices and explore synergies across Abbott divisions
Ensure quality and compliance by working closely with cross-functional teams
Contribute to innovation by continuously improving source-to-pay processes and leveraging digital tools
