Requirements

2+ years’ of professional experience related to Sourcing & Category Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Analytics, or Project Management
Strong business acumen and high level of problem solving and critical thinking skills (Preferred)
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to confidently and expertly interact with internal and external stakeholders (Preferred)
Strong analytical ability, strategic thinker, learn and process new information quickly (Preferred)
Ability to quickly capture, analyze, and summarize large data sets (Preferred)
Strong organization and project management skills (Preferred)
Shown ability to handle multiple tasks without direct supervision, while paying strong attention to detail and follow-up (Preferred)

Hybrid role requiring in-office presence at corporate headquarters in Hartford, CT, Woonsocket, RI, or Buffalo Grove, IL 2x per week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Responsibilities

Execute and lead a variety of complex, high-value sourcing events in support of category
Provide analytical support to category leaders on RFx events and major initiatives
Support category management activities (expiring contract review, pipeline development, opportunity assessment, etc.)
Provide project management and communication support to category leaders (project tracking, meeting minutes, etc.)
Compile scope of work and requirements, analyze and evaluate vendor proposals, and negotiate final commercial terms
Conduct market research that supports negotiation strategies and award decisions for each sourcing event
Develop and confidently present analysis - both quantitative and qualitative - to Procurement and Business leadership to obtain approval to award business
Effectively communicate and demonstrate Strategic Sourcing's value proposition to internal business partners/stakeholders
Support Category Managers and Lead Director with category strategy and pipeline development
Lead the execution of complex, high-impact RFx events for indirect products and services within the software, infrastructure, Cloud/SaaS and Healthcare Platform categories
