Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience. At least 3 of these years must be in engineering leadership roles, and proven experience managing real-time, high-throughput API platforms in production environments is required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineering Manager will lead engineering teams in building platform capabilities and solutions using Experian bureau data and third-party data, accelerating development, training, testing, and deployment through a self-service UI. Responsibilities include building data pipelines at scale for batch clients, integrating with third-party providers for real-time clients, leading and mentoring a team of software engineers, managing hiring and career development, overseeing API platform architecture, design, and implementation with a focus on scalability and reliability, creating platform evolution including modernization and CI/CD best practices, championing service level agreements and incident response, collaborating with Architects and Principal Engineers on the platform's long-term vision, ensuring adherence to software engineering best practices, guiding the use of latest technologies for real-time processing, partnering with Product Management, DevOps, and other teams, managing the delivery lifecycle, tracking performance metrics, and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
