The Senior Software Engineer II will build mission-critical backend services, playing a crucial role in architecting, designing, developing, and operationalizing high-performance, scalable, reliable, and resilient services. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining Kafka Connect connectors for integrations with databases and data warehouses, and working with open-source technologies like Debezium and Kafka Connect for Change Data Capture (CDC) connectors. The engineer will troubleshoot and debug technical issues within a complex stack including microservices, containers, and virtualization, ensure operational readiness of services, and meet availability and performance SLA commitments. This role involves strategic thinking about process and operational improvements for the platform.
