Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A Fluent OMS Certification is mandatory, along with a demonstrated track record of implementing Fluent OMS from development through production in enterprise retail environments for large clients. A minimum of 5 years of backend software engineering experience is required, with proven expertise in enterprise-grade composable commerce and retail systems. Proficiency in Java 7, including core Java functionality, and solid experience designing and managing workflows are essential. Strong background in OMS documentation and debugging, including root cause analysis and tracing complex fulfillment flows, is also required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will lead the design, implementation, integration, debugging, and support of Fluent OMS solutions, ensuring robust workflows and real-time event-driven processing. They will plan and coordinate the integration of Fluent OMS into enterprise retail environments, authoring clean, maintainable code and developing specifications for OMS and POS integrations. Responsibilities include applying expertise in event-driven architectures, microservices, API development, and message brokers, as well as creating scalable data, process, and integration models. The role involves assessing, testing, and troubleshooting OMS implementations, resolving production issues, and upgrading systems. Additionally, the engineer will develop comprehensive OMS documentation, deliver training sessions, collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders, perform code reviews, mentor peers, and evaluate emerging technologies for application to retail commerce challenges.
