Requirements

Candidates must have proven experience working with Java, GraphQL, Spring/Springboot, REST APIs, messaging systems, and/or other backend programming languages. A strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture, along with proficiency in Node.js and a solid foundation in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SDLC best practices are required. The role also demands expertise in subsystems within a large domain and responsibility for the entire software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, observability, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will translate requirements into software design, creating clean, efficient, extensible, and maintainable code. They will practice evidence-centered design to make features testable, ensuring high quality and improving velocity in continuous delivery. Responsibilities include managing project features, breaking them into sub-tasks, identifying and resolving issues, and providing technical guidance, code reviews, coaching, and mentorship to team members. The engineer will also identify gaps and issues across systems, propose solutions, build the engineering roadmap, drive resolution, and lead E2E testing quality and delivery velocity. Additionally, they will lead engineering support, release, and on-call responsibilities for an always-on 24/7 site, serve as a key player in influencing technical decisions, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to develop innovative solutions.
