Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with over 10 years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in architectural leadership. Proven experience in designing and scaling complex, workflow-driven systems, deep expertise in backend systems, distributed architectures, and API design, and a strong understanding of cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure) are essential. Experience simplifying complex systems, expertise in data modeling and high-reliability data pipelines, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and experience in regulated industries like healthcare, pharma, or finance are also required.

Responsibilities

The Principal Software Engineering Architect will develop and own the technical architecture vision for PHIL's prescription management platform, leading its evolution to support scale, complexity, and growth. This role involves designing high-performance backend systems, defining architectural principles and standards, and analyzing complex workflows. Key responsibilities include architecting scalable solutions for large data volumes, creating data structures and APIs for AI/LLM consumption, driving technical governance and reviews, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
