Requirements

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience building developer tooling, CI/CD, infrastructure, or backend applications
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a track record of scaling systems in production
  • High developer empathy. Passionate about improving the quality of life of fellow engineers, and willingness to collaborate with and mentor others
  • Experience leading large technical projects with high ambiguity and numerous stakeholders
  • Understanding of security fundamentals and ability to incorporate them into platform systems
  • Strong understanding of TypeScript, Node.js, and React, and experience with hosted on GCP
  • Experience with compensation strategy, including breaking down into 3 pillars - compensation bands, planning workflows, and total rewards communication
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins or CircleCI
  • Experience with cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with data science, engineering, information technology, product design, product management, and security teams
  • Experience with R&D organization and building products that make processes seamless for customers
  • Experience with hybrid model, with teams working in-person on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays
  • Experience with unlimited PTO policy

Responsibilities

  • Lead large technical projects with high ambiguity and numerous stakeholders
  • Own the infrastructure, tooling, and workflows that enable every team to ship enterprise-grade software with speed and confidence
  • Establish foundational engineering patterns adopted across the org
  • Shape developer experience, scale production systems, and establish engineering patterns
  • Collaborate with and mentor others, including engineers, product managers, and designers
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners on requirements
  • Participate in market trend analysis, band adjustments, merit cycles, and employee communication
  • Collaborate with security teams to incorporate security fundamentals into platform systems
  • Work on building products that make processes seamless for customers
  • Participate in hybrid model, with teams working in-person on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays
  • Collaborate with teams to establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Work with teams to establish and maintain cloud platforms, such as GCP
