Requirements

  • Deep expertise in TypeScript/Node.js, and/or Go, and/or C#/.NET
  • Experience building distributed systems, APIs, and microservices with strong database design skills
  • Experienced in designing highly scalable systems, optimizing performance, and applying caching, load balancing, and fault tolerance mechanisms
  • Competent with CI/CD, Docker, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CDK/Pulumi), and understanding monitoring/logging/alerting systems
  • Proven ability in implementing application performance monitoring, distributed tracing, and incident response
  • Experience in developing multi-tenant SaaS solutions and a proven track record in backend development
  • (Nice-to-Have) Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, message queues, and advanced monitoring tools

Responsibilities

  • Implement, evolve, and maintain core components of the VTEX IO Platform, including infrastructure layers and applications, runtime apps, builder apps, and etc
  • Develop APIs, SDKs, and developer tools that enable users to build and manage extensible apps
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, specialists, and designers
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code with a focus on scalability and extensibility
  • Serve as a technical reference for the team, providing guidance and expertise in backend development best practices
  • Drive important evolutions of products in terms of scalability and product evolution to address main customers demands and market opportunities
