Requirements

Candidates must possess at least seven years of experience in financial services, specifically supporting the trade lifecycle, and seven years of Java development. Expertise in design and architecture, particularly microservices, is required, along with experience leading technical initiatives from inception to completion. Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), REST APIs, and messaging systems (Kafka preferred) is necessary. Strong communication, mentoring junior developers, and a proven track record of ownership and delivery are essential. Experience with listed and OTC instruments, stateful applications on Apache Flink, cloud services (AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes with Helm), and DevOps methodologies (CI/CD) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Senior Software Engineers will design, develop, deploy, and support existing and new applications, features, and platforms within an Agile framework. They will lead projects and initiatives, continuously improving and expanding platform capabilities based on evolving business requirements. Responsibilities include providing Level 3 support globally, contributing to a performant and maintainable codebase, building microservices for cloud deployment on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes with Helm, and integrating drop copy and FIX for post-trade operations across various asset classes. The role also involves building and maintaining systems for intraday and end-of-day trade reporting to prime brokers and internal record systems.
