Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in backend software development
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, systems design, and large-scale distributed systems
  • Hands-on experience designing and building scalable backend services, including APIs and data processing pipelines
  • Experience with Go, Java, or C++ in production environments
  • Experience with containerized workloads and cloud-native infrastructure
  • Experience with logging best practices and emitting useful metrics for observability and troubleshooting of distributed systems
  • Experience with AI tools to increase your and your team's productivity
  • Experience building or operating security products (plus)

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Sysdig's scale-out effort by designing and building backend features that handle increasing customer demand and data volume, reporting to Sr. Manager, Engineering
  • Develop scalable APIs and services that power runtime threat detection, policy enforcement, and alerting
  • Work with a team of engineers to evolve architecture for reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency
  • Collaborate with Product, Threat Research, Frontend, Design, and Customer-facing teams to create features with impact
  • Handle real-time and historical security data across multi-cloud environments including Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, and IBM Cloud
  • Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and operational support of services your team owns
