Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, or a combination of education and experience
7+ years of software development experience
Experience with large-scale microservice application development
Experience with decomposing monolithic applications
Expert knowledge of multiple datastore technologies including both RDBMS (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
Experience with Kafka, Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, and K8s
A ship-often mindset and ability to break down requirements into components that can be released rapidly

Responsibilities

Help design and implement backend services (including microservices, datastores, APIs, and event streams) that will support next-generation listings, inventory, and price points systems
Ensure that backend systems are highly performant and scalable to accommodate an ever-growing amount of data and load
Work closely with internal teams integrating with backend systems and ship iterative improvements based on their requirements and feedback
Further decouple systems from an existing monolithic application
