Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain the availability, performance, and capacity of our production systems
Analyze system performance metrics and identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement
Develop and implement solutions to improve system reliability, availability, and performance
Participate in on-call rotations to respond to and resolve production issues
Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
Develop and maintain tools and scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and management
Contribute to the development and improvement of our monitoring and alerting systems
Participate in incident response drills and real-time incident response activities
Conduct thorough post-mortem analyses of incidents to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences
Drive continuous improvement in our incident response processes
Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to ensure that their applications are designed and built for reliability and operability
Provide guidance and best practices to software engineers on topics such as system design, deployment, and monitoring
Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
