Candidates must possess a minimum of 5-6 years of experience in Salesforce platform development, demonstrating strong coding skills in Apex, JavaScript, SOQL, and Salesforce integration. They should have experience in release management utilizing change sets and CI/CD, along with proven experience in troubleshooting system failures and identifying root causes. Additionally, candidates should have knowledge of Salesforce data models, security, and performance tuning, and experience in Salesforce configuration, including flows, validation rules, and security controls.
The Senior Salesforce Engineer will lead or participate in the design and development of functionalities within Salesforce orgs, providing technical insights and recommendations to ensure scalability and maintainability. They will investigate and resolve complex technical issues and system outages, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures. Furthermore, the role involves creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, working closely with cross-functional teams to influence decisions related to system architecture and integration, and acting in alignment with GitLab’s communication framework.
