Requirements

  • 12 - 15 years’ experience as a relationship manager in trust administration, estate administration, estate planning, or related fields
  • Experience in working with ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients (preferred)
  • Ability to manage a complex portfolio of over a million and/or bill (incomplete in description, implied high-value accounts)
  • Clear knowledge of governing documents and account agreements
  • Depth of knowledge of fiduciary duties and applicable laws, including trust and tax law
  • Knowledge of estate planning techniques, financial planning, asset management, and prudent investment principles
  • Working knowledge of various NT resources
  • Knowledge of NT fiduciary standards and practices

Responsibilities

  • Manages complex wealth management (HNW and UHNW) client relationships and delivers high quality fiduciary and administrative services
  • Assumes primary responsibility for overall client satisfaction by collaborating with service team and NT resources for timely service delivery, issue resolution, and communication
  • Coordinates with client’s professional advisors to identify and implement advisory solutions
  • Manages assigned account base by developing thorough understanding of client’s needs and goals with client service team, clients, and advisors
  • Leads client conversations for life driven wealth management, providing proactive advice on NT’s products/services, emerging issues, regulatory/tax changes, and appropriate actions
  • Explains complicated concepts to clients using non-technical terminology and offers advisory solutions
  • Identifies opportunities for relationship enhancement using fiduciary knowledge, experience, and NT resources
  • Provides proactive client service with responsiveness, diplomacy, and tact via written and verbal communication
  • Applies fiduciary knowledge and judgment to relationships, complies with internal policies for risk management, and resolves fiduciary risk issues
  • Cultivates relationships with referral sources and external professional advisors to build business and develop new opportunities
  • Participates in community and professional organizations representing NT and showcases expertise/thought leadership
  • Travels to meet clients as appropriate for revenue, new business, or servicing
  • Teaches and mentors less experienced partners
  • Provides leadership on fiduciary projects and committees
  • Works collaboratively with internal partners and external advisors to identify client needs/goals and develop advice-driven solutions
  • Implements complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues
  • Pursues ongoing development of fiduciary and advisory knowledge through training and experience
