Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate & Project Management, B-Tech Civil/Mechanical/Electrical, Architecture or equivalent; post graduate degree preferred
  • At least 8 years working experience in retail real estate, store construction, portfolio management and maintenance
  • Multi-vendor management with strong external communication skills
  • Technical knowledge of retail store development & construction, budget & scope management, and fluency with architectural drawings
  • Successful track record of working closely with internal and external cross-functional teams, external consultants, contractors, and vendors
  • Strategic mindset – Proven ability to use strategic tools and frameworks to analyze complex strategic problems, develop clear recommendations, and present findings
  • Relationship-focused and problem-solver – Experienced in building relationships, interacting with all levels of leadership; ability to break down and creatively negotiate successful solutions with internal stakeholders and external partners, tracking against organizational goals
  • Project leadership – Proven ability to effectively assess and execute projects and lead cross-functional teams to successful store openings
  • Excellent comprehension, communication, and execution skills, with engaging storytelling for communicating strategies and recommendations
  • Works independently; accountable for performance and results
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat)

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with Nike’s internal teams (Real Estate, Store Construction, Facilities, Legal, Finance, Design, Partner Management, Operations, Loss Prevention, Technology, Demand Supply Management, Nike Direct Leadership, Sales) and external parties (developers, landlords, partners, contractors)
  • Ensure store openings are executed on schedule and meet Nike standards through clear communication and effective collaboration across stakeholders
  • Lead Store Construction activities for India, overseeing and executing the complete store construction process for Nike's owned stores
  • Select general contracting partners, manage costs and quality, and maintain high standards throughout construction
  • Support partner stores to ensure committed store openings are completed efficiently and on schedule, in line with the fleet plan
  • Site selection based on technical specification assessment, tendering, and BOQ creation
  • Conduct site-specific technical due diligence and define and negotiate construction-related technical lease conditions
  • Ownership of Construction Budget & Schedule Management; ensure stores open on budget and on schedule
  • Appoint and manage vendors for store construction and maintenance
  • Oversee Store Design and Construction Management, including external design, architectural, construction, engineering, cost estimation, project management, and other vendor services
  • Review and ensure construction drawings comply with standards
