Requirements

  • Deep experience in the payments ecosystem, particularly in bill pay, money movement, financial reconciliation, and funding mechanics
  • Strong understanding of how different funding types operate (ACH, RTP, wires, card-based funding, digital wallets, alternative funding methods)
  • Familiarity with concepts like prefunding, sweep accounts, and funds availability
  • Experience diving into backend systems
  • Experience managing cross-functional roadmaps
  • Ability to define strategic product direction
  • Understanding of the ACH ecosystem, including file formatting (NACHA), processing windows, risk and return codes, timing cutoffs and workflows

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end strategy for the money movement general ledgering systems
  • Define and prioritize product requirements across key areas like settlement timing, transaction visibility, reconciliation tooling, error handling and disbursement processing
  • Lead product capabilities that support diverse funding methods
  • Communicate the product development roadmap across agile teams and stakeholders
  • Define and document user stories that clearly guide technical requirements and implementation
  • Own the organization of the backlog, working proactively and collaboratively with Engineering management to ensure proper prioritization and capacity planning
