Senior Product Manager

Position Overview

Roo is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead a cross-functional team in achieving major company objectives. You will be responsible for crafting strategy, defining key metrics, ensuring effective dashboarding for execution guidance, and communicating progress to the company through written updates. Your north-star metric will directly align with the "Roo Equation," our business model's defining equation, ensuring your impact is always clear. You and your team will operate with significant autonomy, employing a growth-minded, iterative approach to learning, moving quickly, and driving measurable outcomes by building levers for both customers and internal users.

This role reports directly to the VP of Product & Design. While the position is remote, occasional onsite presence in our San Francisco co-working space will be required for meetings and team events.

Responsibilities

  • Unite your team behind a strategy to achieve initiative goals.
  • Ensure the measurability of the impact of your efforts.
  • Lead the product process and maintain a rolling roadmap, prioritizing projects that drive maximum impact toward your north star metric.
  • Devise creative product solutions to address the core problems faced by your team.
  • Track the metric impact of projects and develop insights to inform the rolling roadmap.
  • Ensure delivered projects result in improvements to the user experience.
  • Write weekly updates for the executive team and key stakeholders, summarizing your team's impact, insights, and plans.

Qualifications

  • Marketplace Experience: 4+ years of experience working on core, supply, or demand teams of a growing marketplace product.
  • Impact Focus: A consistent history of delivering measurable results for both users and the business.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent writing skills, particularly in strategic communication, and clear, effective verbal communication.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think both broadly and granularly to build a portfolio of experiments and larger features. Comfortable whiteboarding new experiences and optimizing existing flows, knowing when to apply each approach.
  • Data-Informed: Deep understanding of product functionality and how to measure long-term impact. Familiarity with the entire user funnel, experience designing, running, and interpreting experiments and A/B tests, and proficiency in SQL is a plus.
  • Natural Leadership: Proven ability to influence individuals across job functions to achieve goals. People enjoy working with you.
  • UX Prioritization: Deep consideration for how the product fits into the customer's life, with the ability to prototype solutions to communicate ideas for improvement.
  • Startup Velocity: Adaptability to shifting priorities, evolving strategies, and resource constraints, understanding these are natural aspects of scaling a product in a startup environment.
