Position Overview

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first. The Senior Problem, Incident and Event Management Engineer drives technical support teams to recover services during periods of service disruption or outages to key technology platforms/applications. This role involves moderately complex to complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The engineer will establish policies, processes, and systems for a quality incident management process, monitor incident trends, and influence department strategy. Decisions on technical approaches for project components will be made with considerable latitude and without direction.

Requirements

  • Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience (3 Years in IT Ops or IT Service Ops).
    • Direct experience in a Problem Management role with experience in root cause analysis.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Visio.
    • Experience in problem analysis and process documentation.
    • Experience working in cross-functional, collaborative teams.
    • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle and Waterfall or Agile Development Methodologies.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in the health care industry.
    • Leadership experience.
    • Experience with the Consumer domain.
    • IIBA certification.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
