Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or related discipline preferred (will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 12+ years of professional experience in high-profile corporate communications and/or public relations roles, supporting globally branded organizations (experience with big brands and footwear/apparel industry preferred)
  • Proven ability to develop and execute effective communication strategies tailored to diverse audiences
  • Experience in high-profile communications, corporate communications, issues management, consumer and product communications, strategic planning, budgeting, and creative solutions
  • Experience communicating to and working with senior executives to provide strategic counsel, clearly articulate ideas, successfully manage differing points of view, and strengthen relationships and rapport across all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to communicate plans across a complex matrix on a corporate, regional, and functional basis
  • Passion for fostering a connected and engaged workforce

Responsibilities

  • Lead the communications strategy for NIKE’s employee resource groups at PHK and beyond
  • Provide executive communications support to NIKE’s Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer and sit on their leadership team
  • Collaborate closely with DEI leaders to understand their communication needs, challenges, and objectives
  • Develop an internal communication strategy that ensures alignment with overall corporate strategy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor in all matters related to internal and external communication
  • Work closely with the broader team to ensure synchronization of messaging and strategic priorities
  • Lead the creation and dissemination of relevant, timely, and engaging content to ensure every employee feels seen and to bring company values to life
  • Curate experiences and events that foster unity, recognition, and pride in the company
  • Support global corporate communications strategies/events where appropriate
  • Manage ad-hoc communications issues
  • Create communications plans, track timelines, and manage communications budget
  • Manage internal and external communications approval processes where appropriate
