Technical leadership in process control, including design, controls philosophy, implementation, and commissioning
Ability to mentor process control team
Expertise in developing and implementing Automation Engineering Project Plans
Experience technically leading and overseeing Site Area leads and System Integrators, including Functional Requirements, Design Specifications, DCS Application Software, and Test Specifications
Proficiency in leading/participating in design reviews, DeltaV application software reviews, and attending equipment and software FATs
Capability to lead a team of automation engineers supporting commissioning
Skills in providing periodic status updates to Project Management
Ability to devise functional requirements and process control strategies for control systems in collaboration with Process Engineering
Expertise in DCS software design, coding/configuration, and testing (sequence logic, graphics, batch software etc.)
Knowledge of automation engineering including design, tuning, and troubleshooting of control loops
Experience implementing and supporting electronic systems (e.g., plant historians) for capturing process automation related production data
Ability to maintain the validated state of site control systems in line with Lilly quality standards, including development and execution of validation strategies and documentation
Experience providing automation support for capital projects, including new product introductions
Skills in promoting automation to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and compliance
Ability to develop a network of corporate contacts and leverage corporate expertise
Demonstrated initiative, good planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, commitment to task completion and timelines

Responsibilities

Mentor process control team, including design, controls philosophy, implementation, and commissioning
Implement and coordinate process control work
Develop and implement the Automation Engineering Project Plan
