Candidates should have significant experience designing and operating relational data and object storage platforms in production. Hands-on experience with one or more cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and declarative Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) is required. Programming/scripting ability in Python, Go, Rust or Bash is necessary, along with excellent communication skills and experience working asynchronously on a fully remote, distributed team. Experience building or running multi-tenant storage platforms at scale, deep expertise in two or more of PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ, and experience operating infrastructure across multiple clouds are considered advantageous.
The Senior Platform Engineer will design, operate, and scale storage-based infrastructure systems across multiple tenancy models and public clouds (AWS, Azure, and GCP). They will deepen the team's expertise in areas such as relational databases, search, caching, queuing, and streaming to strengthen platform scalability, security, and developer experience. The role involves partnering with Architecture, Release Engineering, Network, Compute, and Security teams to provide a seamless platform for application teams. Responsibilities include leveraging tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, Python, SQL, Go, Bash, and Datadog, and participating in a balanced on-call rotation to improve reliability and reduce operational toil.
