Requirements

BSc. Computer Science or similar
5+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development in a product development team. Object-oriented programming experience is required
3+ years experience as DevOps/SRE in a production environment
2+ years experience with containers, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD
2+ years experience with AWS or GCP/Azure
1+ years experience with CI/CD - GitLab/Jenkins/Github Actions/etc
Experience with networking, distributed systems, SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals and administration
Fluent in English language
Advantage - Experienced with declarative IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation or Pulumi

Responsibilities

Define infrastructure standards for dev teams
Design, implement and develop tools for controlling infrastructure of microservices
Build CI/CD automation and templates with GitLab
Build, maintain and operate AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure
Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the applications and architecture at Via
Work in contact with other teams across the company to ensure smooth and documented changes to all environments
Identify and resolve problems in mission-critical services, automating remediation procedures to prevent recurrences
Bring ideas to the table, take ownership over their project timelines and deliverables and help us scale
