What We're Looking For

We are seeking a Senior Payments Operations Specialist to lead and optimize our payment processes, focusing on monitoring key billing performance indicators, managing routing and cascading strategies, and ensuring seamless transaction flows. In this role, you will collaborate closely with payment providers and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve anomalies, improve operational efficiency, and reduce transaction failures and costs. You will play a vital part in scaling and strengthening our payment infrastructure while maintaining proactive communication and high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor key billing performance indicators (KPIs), including approval rates, declined transactions and their reasons, timeouts, processing times, and payment distribution.
  • Establish and optimize scalable payment operational processes, encompassing routing, cascading, and retry strategies.
  • Escalate drops and anomalies to providers and relevant internal teams, ensuring timely feedback on estimated times of fixes (ETAs) and status updates.
  • Collaborate with various departments such as marketing, product, CRM, customer support, and analytics to address their requests.
  • Deeply analyze current payment flows, methods, provider back-offices, existing monitoring, analysis reports, and internal tools.
  • Communicate critical changes in provider terms or billing to relevant teams.
  • Conduct payment and routing/cascading tests, and monitor results.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance system functionality, and reduce transactional errors and costs.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Billing Specialist or Billing Analyst in online payments.
  • Strong aptitude for numbers and processing transactional information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office software.
  • Solid understanding of online payment funnels and flows.
  • Experience in written communication with international customers or partners.
  • Basic understanding of payment and transactional systems and services.
  • Eagerness to expand knowledge about payment systems.
