Requirements

Candidates must possess a BSc or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics, or a similar field, with over 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in complex ASIC package development and manufacturing. Experience working with subcontractors and vendors, a vision and focus for projects and teams, and strong problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, team-oriented, and interpersonal skills are required. A high awareness of quality, manufacturability, and project schedules is also essential. Hands-on FEA mechanical simulation experience and background in semiconductor manufacturing processes are advantageous, as is team/group/project management experience.

Responsibilities

The Senior Package Engineer will lead the development of microelectronics packaging for NVIDIA Networking Business Unit's future products. This role involves collaborating with world-leading vendors on ambitious packaging solutions and joining/leading task forces for production excursions, failure analysis, and reliability issues. The engineer will also work with SI, layout, and ASIC design teams to develop complex ASIC packages, plan schedules, and resolve costs, packaging, manufacturing, and electrical design issues.
