Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least six years of relevant experience. Required qualifications include a relevant industry certification (e.g., COMPTIA Network+, CCNA), experience with Arista and Netgear switches, Watchguard (non-cloud based), and Manage Engine, plus CLI experience. Proficiency in designing, building, and maintaining physical and virtual networking devices, encryption (Taclanes preferred), firewalls, and Layer 2/3 devices is essential. Experience researching, evaluating, testing, recommending, integrating, deploying, and installing network equipment and solutions, including new technologies, is also required. The ability to manage, train, and develop junior network administrators is necessary. A Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a CI clearance and polygraph is mandatory. Experience leading teams of network administrators is also required.
The Senior Network Administrator will lead moderately complex network projects, coordinate work activities for technical teams, and provide technical guidance and leadership. Responsibilities include determining deliverables and work schedules, acting as the Offeror's representative to customer technical personnel, and leading network requirements analysis and maintenance/upgrade activities. The SNA is responsible for ensuring network deliverable deadlines and performance standards are met. Duties include supporting the unit with other assigned tasks within the scope of work, researching, evaluating, testing, recommending, integrating, deploying, and installing network equipment, and conferring with management and engineers on network capabilities and enhancements. The SNA will develop, test, document, and implement network changes for efficient operation and interoperability, develop automated methods for deploying network devices, proactively troubleshoot and resolve networking issues, and conduct reverse engineering of networks to produce documentation and identify areas for improvement. They will also analyze traffic information to justify network optimization and reconfiguration, provide technical assistance and training to users, and evaluate vendor products and services.
