Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of hands-on, detailed product design experience
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Unigraphics
- Knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and experience releasing 2D drawings
- Practical experience working through Design for Manufacturing (DFM) challenges with external vendors
- Knowledge and experience with Pdmlink or Arena (a plus)
Responsibilities
- Define HW architecture for integration into OEM vehicles
- Design mechanical and thermal hardware solutions for autonomous vehicles
- Design cosmetic covers and finishes for autonomous vehicles
- Work with OEM and partners to obtain buy-in on final designs and integration plans
- Help build and improve new and current designs
- Work with cross-functional teams to define product requirements
