Requirements

  • Solid technical understanding of engineering principles and procedures (problem solving, CAPA, change control, measurement system, equipment and process validation, etc.)
  • Experience with Risk Based Life Cycle Management process driving quality and reliability improvement
  • Demonstrate application of engineering principles on individual/small projects and ability to work with cross functional teams to successfully implement quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives
  • Prefer experience with TQM methods (e.g., “six sigma”) and product, process and software validation
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3-5 years related experience
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, walk throughout the workday, with good hand to eye coordination and dexterity
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment regulated by the FDA, including wearing static protective smock, ground wrist strap, working in close proximity to others, and in temperature/humidity controlled conditions

Responsibilities

  • Implement/support product, process and supply chain changes within the manufacturing environment related to quality improvement and operation optimization through creation/modification of: process flow, manufacturing work instructions and related documents, field service procedures and manuals, fixtures/tooling/equipment/systems, IQ/OQ/PQ of fixtures/tooling/equipment
  • Identify, investigate and resolve manufacturing difficulties including: First Pass Yield improvement, throughput constraints and capacity management, component or assembly substitution evaluations and approvals, deviations and rework instructions, resolution of CAPAs, investigation and Root Cause Analysis, corrective action, preventative action, measures of effectiveness
  • Drive various quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives from identification through implementation while working with cross functional resources to ensure results are achieved in a timely manner
