Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, Paralegal Degree a plus
  • Deep experience reviewing contracts, negotiating terms and conditions with vendors
  • Several years general procurement experience in a Financial or Market Data category preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, set timelines and meet achievements
  • Experience facilitating meetings and leading complex discussions with vendors
  • Experience managing vendor relationships required
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships at all levels of management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to tailor messages to various audiences
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to exercise good judgement in all facets of work
  • High level of curiosity enabling the desire to research and understand new topics
  • Ability to draw conclusions from both data analysis and information captured from business partners

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and strengthen partnerships for a specified portfolio of various critical market data third-party providers
  • Collaborate with business partners and vendors to negotiate market data contracts
  • Serve as a vendor relationship manager
  • Ensure adherence to vendor-related risk policies to protect Fidelity
  • Work closely with Business Unit Subject Matter Experts, key stakeholders, and the Vendor Risk Center of Excellence to monitor and elevate critical vendor relationships
  • Partner with Business Unit Subject Matter Experts and Vendor Administration team to align ongoing vendor initiatives and complex vendor renewals
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with vendors during contract negotiations and complex renewals
  • Read, review, and edit contract documents
  • Work with vendors to complete required compliance tasks to safeguard Fidelity & mitigate risk
  • Facilitate relationship and performance meetings with vendors
  • Monitor and address vendor performance; identify and escalate concerns to the appropriate parties
