Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, marketing, product development, or general management—ideally in a subscription-based or digital media business
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex challenges into clear, actionable plans
  • Comfort working across teams and synthesizing multiple inputs into concise recommendations
  • Exceptional communication and organization skills with attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams with competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of cross-functional initiatives that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention across the WSJ and WSJ+ portfolio
  • Help develop and refine new subscriber value propositions and subscription constructs, working closely with product, marketing, and consumer insights teams
  • Coordinate team input into key business reviews, strategy documents, and dashboards—ensuring senior leaders have clear visibility into performance and priorities
  • Assist in the development and rollout of new WSJ+ offerings
  • Partner with Product and Brand teams to ensure the customer journey reflects the differentiated value of each offering
  • Monitor and support performance of acquisition and engagement campaigns, partnering with Performance Marketing to surface trends and opportunities
  • Act as a connector across teams—helping translate business needs into actionable plans and ensuring alignment with stakeholders in Finance, Legal, Tech, Product, and Marketing
  • Contribute to the development of test plans, customer research efforts, and competitive scans to inform product development and growth opportunities
  • Assist in the creation of materials for SLT/ELT updates and cross-functional briefings
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Senior Director, helping to prioritize initiatives and manage workstreams across a growing team
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Subscription Strategy team to ensure shared goals are met and dependencies are managed effectively
