- At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- At least 4 years of people management experience
- Preferred: Master’s Degree
- Preferred: 9+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Angular or Go
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with GraphQL
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- Preferred: 7+ years of people management experience

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in building and scaling GraphQL as a platform for the Enterprise, including schema design, API governance, performance, security, and use of Graph in AI
- Lead the design and implementation of complex GraphQL systems, ensuring scalability and reliability
- Provide expert architectural guidance to the team and others
- Work with teams across the enterprise to develop solutions meeting their needs and collaborate with partners in Card to build supporting platforms
- Act as a technical expert and mentor to guide engineers, improve skills, and deliver high-quality solutions
- Partner with product managers and designers to translate business needs into technical solutions and align on project goals
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in GraphQL, AI using Graph and MCP, streamline developer experience; evaluate and recommend new tools/approaches
- Tackle complex technical challenges with hands-on expertise to resolve issues and keep development on track
- Establish and enforce high standards for code quality, testing, operational excellence in GraphQL services and Agile workflows
- Shape technical roadmap, elevate engineering talent, and foster a culture of efficiency and quality
