Responsibilities

  • Combine craft expertise and people leadership skills with understanding of customers and business to co-create innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Drive product strategy and create a thriving team culture of high-performing designers
  • Demonstrate established expertise in product design across interaction, visual, and service design
  • Oversee and optimize use of tools, platforms, frameworks, and design systems in collaboration with cross-functional partners
  • Develop artifacts including vision stories, journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes
  • Reinforce a positive and inclusive team environment
  • Set goals aligned to broader portfolio strategy
  • Manage stakeholders, remove barriers, and train/develop designers
  • Shape product direction and outcomes using design expertise, user insights, and business understanding
  • Drive alignment across product, tech, and business partners, ensuring user needs are central
  • Advocate for human-centered methodologies aligning customer needs and business goals using data, research, design expertise
  • Demonstrate knowledge of products, processes, customers, competitors, and market trends to manage portfolio (pivoting, redirecting scope)
  • Leverage expertise in tech/data capabilities and emerging technologies for innovative design strategies
  • Engage cross-organizational expertise for workstreams, embracing compromise for strategic challenges
  • Present work across levels/functions, integrating design frameworks, data, and insights to influence stakeholders
