Candidates must have 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or audit, with Big 4 experience strongly preferred. A CPA designation is required, along with in-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement preparation. Strong technical accounting experience with SaaS revenue recognition under ASC 606, the ability to draft and review technical memos, and deep experience with NetSuite ERP and related integrations are essential. Proven experience in process improvement, automation, system implementation, equity accounting, and stock-based compensation under ASC 718 are also required. Strong leadership, team management, hiring, coaching, mentoring, and excellent communication skills are necessary.
The Senior Manager of Accounting will lead and own the monthly and quarterly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and internal reporting packages. This role involves overseeing the preparation of financial statements, managing the external audit process, and drafting technical accounting memos. Responsibilities include maintaining and improving accounting processes for AR, AP, payroll, expense reports, stock-based compensation, and intercompany activity. The position requires acting as a NetSuite super-user, owning equity accounting and cap table reconciliation, and collaborating cross-functionally with various teams.
