Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in merchandising strategy, pricing, category management, or assortment planning within retail, e-commerce, or B2B environments
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing data-driven assortment or pricing strategies that drive measurable business impact
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment, balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day execution

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of assortment strategies that align with Walmart Business’s growth objectives
  • Establish and influence strong, high-visibility relationships with suppliers and merchants, negotiating and aligning on assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies that drive mutual value
  • Analyze market trends, customer segments, and competitor dynamics to identify assortment gaps and opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Finance, Product, and Analytics teams to deliver actionable recommendations that balance customer needs with financial goals
  • Build data models and frameworks to evaluate assortment performance, pricing elasticity, and margin trade-offs
  • Partner with senior leaders to translate insights into strategic initiatives that enhance customer experience and business outcomes
  • Measure and report on key performance indicators to track progress and drive continuous improvement in assortment and GMV performance
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and playbooks for B2B assortment optimization
  • Lead and develop a small team or cross-functional workstreams, fostering analytical rigor and strategic thinking
